New This Week at Main Street Yoga!!!

You might think that the last week of January seems like an odd time to start offering new classes . . . and you might be right. But we couldn’t wait one more week to add these to our weekly schedule!

First, Holly was inspired by her fellow schoolteachers to offer an earlier class on Wednesdays in addition to Beginners Yoga at 5:30. You can now “Find Your Calm” with Holly at 4pm every Wednesday! It’s ideal for teachers and other non-9-to-5ers who prefer an earlier class before heading home.

This beginner-friendly yoga practice offers you the time and space to tune into the mind and body, helping you to both relax and refocus your energy. It's the perfect way to press the reset button at the end of the workday! Holly is offering this class FREE of charge this week and on February 16th to show her students some love during Valentine’s week.

Next, MSY is very excited to welcome Jessica Stidham back into the studio, and this new mom is itching to start teaching in person again! Jessica will offer her signature “Yinyasa” class on Saturdays at 11am. Yinyasa offers a unique paring of yoga styles, fusing long-held yin postures that target deep connective tissues with the fluid and energetic style of vinyasa flow. Class begins with a quiet and meditative practice that focuses on nourishing deep connective tissues, and gradually moves into a dynamic flow that will strengthen, invigorate, and move stagnant energy.

We’re also tweaking Thursday mornings a bit this week. We’ve adjusted the time and format of Victoria’s class in the hopes that it will better suit the needs of you early birds! Beginner Power Yoga is offered online at 6am. Power yoga is a method of yoga that involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures. The process produces internal heat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. This "empowering" class is perfect for beginners and those who are new to this style of yoga. What a great way to start the day!

You can register for all these classes here. Class packages can be purchased here.

Stay tuned! We’re cooking up some great offerings for February and March, including an experiential meditation class with Ryan Kurczak, “Free-For-All Fridays,” a long format yin/restorative class, and an open house yoga expo!

In the meantime, stay warm!
