Angela Hammond

Angela founded Main Street Yoga in April 2016. As an E-RYT 500 and Ayurvedic Health Counselor, Angela’s greatest passion is leading others through guided transformation. At Main Street Yoga, she offers 200 and 300-hour yoga teacher trainings, continuing education workshops, and weekly public classes.. She also works one-on-one with clients using the ancient teachings of Yoga and Ayurveda.

Angela has been practicing yoga since 1996, and it has been a consistent part of her life ever since. She never liked exercise, but she quickly realized that something else was happening when she practiced yoga. She began in her living room with books, VHS tapes, and DVDs while her three boys ran circles around her. What she found was that after her practice, she had much more patience with them because she felt more at peace in her own body.

Angela lives in Fairmont with her husband, Mark, and two mischievous canines: Boomer and Helo. When she’s not in the studio, Angela enjoys hiking, biking, and paddling.

Erin lives in Fairmont with her husband and 3 children. She works for the City of Fairmont as an Assistant Planner.

Her passions include her faith, family, friends, nature, and rescuing cats. Erin offers a bi-monthly Kitten Yoga class that benefits the Marion County Humane Society.

Lauri Brammer

Lauri is an RYT 500 with a foundation in Trauma-Informed Vinyasa, Hatha Yoga, Mindfulness, and Meditation, as well as Kundalini Yoga, Ayurveda, the Enneagram, Lunar Wisdom, and self-awareness, Qigong, Thai Energy Work, and Sound Healing.

Lauri’s journey into yoga didn’t begin in stillness—it began in searching. For a long time, she moved through life feeling accomplished on the outside, but disconnected within. Yoga became the place where she started to slow down, listen, and reconnect. What began as a personal need for balance grew into a deep transformation—and ultimately, a calling to share this work with others.

The intention behind all of Lauri’s offerings is to help you remember the connection that already exists within you—through movement, breath, and awareness. In addition to monthly “Soul Sessions”, Lauri offers private sound healing and energy work at Main Street Yoga. She also offers a Renewal Residency Program in the New River Gorge—creating personalized, immersive experiences for women seeking deeper support and connection.

Kristi Barnes

Kristi completed her 200-hr, prenatal, and yin yoga certifications at Holy Cow Yoga Center in Charleston, SC, where she taught vinyasa yoga and led the prenatal and children's yoga programs and trainings. She also teaches Nia, a movement modality combining dance, martial arts and healing arts.

Expression through movement has always been essential to Kristi, making her feel alive and connected to her community and the world. Her goal in teaching is to ignite in others the joy, empowerment, spaciousness, and peace with which these practices enrich her life. She incorporates a sense of exploration and lightheartedness into her classes, which combine fluid movement with restful self-care.

Kristi is also a Reiki II Practitioner and Jungian Life Coach. When she’s not in the studio, you can find her with family or her dog Rufus, in nature, reading or making things, or traveling with her daughter Eviana, also a yoga teacher.

Holly Pickens

Holly is a 2021 graduate of MSY’s 200-hour yoga teacher training program. Holly experienced her very first yoga class back in 2010, but it wasn’t until Main Street Yoga opened its doors in 2016 that she developed a daily practice. Holly recently completed training in the LYT Method, a movement practice that combines yoga, physical therapy, and functional movement! LYT ("lit") is a core-based movement method designed to help people discover more optimal movement patterns.

Holly works for the Marion County BOE as a library/media specialist. She has an equal love for books as she does for practicing yoga. Whether Holly is in the library or the yoga studio, she loves helping her students find inspiration to grow as individuals.

Holly lives with her husband, Andy, and two cats, Tip and Artemis, in Fairmont. In her free time she enjoys yoga, reading, traveling, and spending time with her niece and nephew.

Alesia Towns

Alesia is a 2024 graduate of MSY’s 200-hour yoga teacher training program. She loves practicing and teaching slow, mindful movement and yin yoga. In June 2025, she received her certification as a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Yoga Teacher. Alesia infuses TCM principles in her classes, often using acupressure, myofascial release techniques, and breathwork. Feel free to visit her website (alesiatownsyoga.org) to work one-on-one.

Alesia started practicing yoga at home in 2020. After finding MSY’s website, she enrolled in “Body Wisdom” and adopted a whole new lifestyle that included leaving a stressful job as a financial analyst to live a life that aligned with her core values.

Alesia lives with her husband, daughter, pup, and four cats. She is very passionate about teaching yoga, animals, self-care, and biodiversity. When she is not practicing yoga, you can find her wandering in the woods, reading a good book, enjoying hot coffee and tea, kayaking, gardening, and woodworking.

Rebecca Riley

Rebecca is a 2024 graduate of Main Street Yoga’s Advanced Yoga Teacher Training program. She has also trained with notable yoga legends Sri Dharma Mittra and the founder of Power Yoga, Bryan Kest. With her passion for the practice and her impressive amount of training, you would never guess that she attended her first yoga class reluctantly and only at the insistence of a relentless friend.

When attending a class with Rebecca, you can expect to find your breath, move mindfully through your practice, and focus on letting go of the tension that isn’t serving you. She uses her ability to cue movement through the delicate balance of flexibility and strength, but perhaps most importantly for using yoga to build resilience which carries with you off of your mat.

Rebecca is a West Virginia native, yoga enthusiast, and animal lover. She finds her best teachers in life come to her in the form of children, animals, and of course yoga. Fueled by a passion to make yoga visible and encourage charitable giving, she created "Pawsitive Yogi" as a karma yoga project.

Jessica Winzenried

Jessica is a 2025 graduate of MSY’s Registered Yoga School. After years of cultivating her own regular practice, she felt called to share the benefits of yoga with others. She enjoys guiding her students to reconnect with their bodies, build sustainable strength, and find clarity through mindful movement, breath, and rest.

Jessica remembers yoga being on the periphery of her life at a young age. She would watch as her mother practiced breathwork from a book and movement with VHS tapes. As an adult, Jessica was drawn to yoga because of its holistic approach to the mind, body, and spirit and its ability to support us in everyday life—not just on the mat, but out in the world. She found that her own practice not only improved her mobility, flexibility, and strength but also provided tangible ways to regulate her nervous system and nurture personal growth and awareness.

Jessica lives in Fairmont with her husband, Matt, and their dog, Taz. When she’s not practicing yoga, Jessica enjoys hiking, learning to play the piano, and reading.

Rose Miller

Rose is a 2025 graduate of MSY's 200-hour yoga teacher training program. As an occupational therapist, Rose gravitates toward a holistic approach to wellness and feels that yoga is the perfect practice for integrating physical, mental, and spiritual health. She strives to offer classes that are accessible and easily individualized for each student.

Rose leads a free monthly Memory Wellness Group at MSY. With a family history of Alzheimer’s disease and years of supporting clients and their families as they navigate dementia, she is eager to share meditation strategies that improve memory and cognition and reduce stress.

When she’s not at work or on her yoga mat, Rose enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, and their two sons, Bodhi and Judah. In her free time, she loves writing, reading, running, and hiking.
