Happy New Year from MSY!

Happy new year from Main Street Yoga! We hope it’s off to a great start.

We kicked things off here on January 2nd with “Set Your Vision for 2022,” which was a great success! Whether you participated in that workshop or not, I hope you took some time to reflect on the past year, where you are now, and where you want to go in the coming year.

Some of you know that in addition to teaching yoga, I’m also a group health coach and an Ayurvedic Health Counselor. If there’s one thing I’ve learned throughout my training in those areas (not to mention in my own experience with setting goals, resolutions, and intentions), it’s that you won’t get very far on your own. In fact I’ve come to realize that there are three essential ingredients that are necessary to effect lasting change in any area of life: health, diet, exercise, finances, relationships . . . .

Whatever it is you want to improve, there are three things you need to change your habits and reach your goals. And I’m totally ready to share those three things with you for free! But I’m not going to do it in this email. I think these things are so important that they deserve face-to-face, real-time explanations and discussions. So I’m giving you three chances to join me live to talk about how to successfully achieve your goals.

Each class will be the same or similar to the others. I just want to provide you with options for attending live so that you can participate in the Q&A session. I’ll also offer a special bonus for all attendees. I hope you'll join me!

If you're considering starting the incredible journey of yoga teacher training in 2022, you won't want to miss the opportunity this Sunday, January 9th, to learn about the process, ask questions, clarify your goals, and hear from those who have graduated from our Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School.

Yoga teacher training is a transformational experience for anyone who wants to learn more about the mental, emotional, physical, and technical aspects of the eight limbs of yoga. While graduates of Main Street Yoga's yoga teacher training program are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200-hour level, yoga teacher training is NOT exclusive to people who want to become certified yoga teachers. Register here to attend a Q&A session (available in person and live online) this Sunday at 2:30.

Finally, if one of your goals for 2022 is simply to do more yoga, we’re offering more classes to help you do just that, starting with “Mindful Movement” this Sunday at 4:00. This beginner-friendly class focuses on synchronizing breath with movement and increasing awareness of the effects of your yoga practice. Mindful Movement is available in person and live online.

Keep an eye out for more additional offerings in the coming weeks, including a 4pm class on Wednesdays. We’d also like to offer a class on Fridays, so let me know what type of class you’d like to see and when you’d be available to attend.

Thanks so much for supporting Main Street Yoga. YOU are why we do what we do.

All the best to you in the new year!
