The Science of Balance

It's true that standing balance postures like tree pose, dancer, and warrior 3 make great social media fodder. But there's a much, much better reason to practice balancing in a yoga class: to improve our overall strength, mobility, health, and longevity so that we can continue walk unassisted for a good, long time.

In this workshop, we'll learn about the anatomy and physiology of balance, how yoga helps us improve our balance, and of course, we'll play with balancing postures, exploring ways of increasing and decreasing levels of challenge. RYTs can earn CEUs with Yoga Alliance.
