July at Main Street Yoga!

Happy Independence Day! Summer is in full swing and so are things at Main Street Yoga. We’ve got a roster of stellar teachers and a solid schedule with classes offered every day of the week.

Here’s a printable list of our regularly-scheduled classes.

This past month at the studio has been spectacular. Each week we see new faces in the studio, and we’ve been thrilled to welcome back familiar faces.

I think I can safely speak for all of the MSY teachers when I say that teaching yoga through the ups and downs of Covid wasn’t easy, but we were rewarded for our efforts by those of you who stuck with us through it all, and we are eternally grateful to each and every one of you.

Now that things are feeling a bit safer, we’re ready to make a few small changes to procedures in the studio.

  • First, sign-in sheets are back. Please make sure you sign in for each class and indicate which type of class pass you are using: single, 5, 10, or 20. This helps ensure that your teachers are paid accurately for the classes they teach. Single class packages can be purchased online when you register for a class. Packages can be purchased here.

  • Next, class capacities have increased to 12 students per class. While I still long for the days when we squeezed 20 or more students into our space, 12 seems appropriate for now.

  • Finally, last minute drop-ins and cash payments are welcome again. While we strongly encourage you to pre-register for classes (pre-registering guarantees your spot and ensures that class will take place), we understand that sometimes you just don’t know until the last minute that you’ll actually be able to make it to class. However, drop-ins come with risks – if your class is at capacity, you might not get to practice with us, and we don’t want to turn anyone away. Before deciding to take that risk, check the registration page to see how many spots are left.

While we haven’t added and new classes to the studio schedule, I do want to let you know about one special offering from one of my yoga teacher trainees, Rae Dyer. Every Sunday at 8 am, Rae is offering “Yoga at the Farm,” an outdoor class on her beautiful private property just a few minutes from town. This class is free to veterans and first responders, so spread the word. For others, the class is only $5! Although drop-ins are welcome, registering through the MSY page will help ensure that class will take place.

As for special offerings, there’s nothing on the schedule yet, but look for a special workshop from me at the end of the month. ;)

You can always find our full schedule here. Special events are splattered all over Facebook and Instagram and posted here.

One last reminder . . . this fall I’m taking some of my favorite yogis to Costa Rica for a yoga retreat. It’s not too late to join us!

That’s it for now!

Namaste,

Angela
