Most of us know that meditation is a powerful tool for reducing stress and building mental and emotional resilience. Yet the prospect of meditation can be intimidating if you’ve never tried it on your own (or if you have and felt you “failed”). In this workshop, we’ll eliminate the mysticism and strip the practice down to its essence – sitting in silence. We’ll talk about ideal times to meditate, how to take mini-meditation breaks, and how to sit (or lie) comfortably for meditation. I’ll explain how to build your practice gradually, and we’ll explore different styles of meditation so that you can find one that suits you. Following the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in 21-day meditation challenge to help you get your zen ball rolling.
