Breathe - An Introduction to Pranayama

In the yoga tradition, the breath is said to carry a person's life force. Learn how to tap into yours.

Pranayama is the fourth of Patanjali's 8 limbs of yoga, falling in between asana (the poses) and meditation. Prana means life force or breath sustaining the body; Ayama translates as "to extend or draw out." Together, the two mean breath extension or control.

In this workshop, we will learn how the practice of pranayama evolved, as well as when and how to practice specific pranayama practices. We'll explore and experience this set of breathing techniques designed to control our life force energy.
